HP dv6000 not powering up

I got a good one for you guys.

I have an HP dv6000 laptop that will not power up if it isn't plugged in. The battery light just blinks when I press the power button.

Battery is charged. If the laptop is on and I unplug it, it continues to run without issue.

What gives?

o.o That is weird. I had a problem similar to that, but my laptop wouldn't hold any power with the battery alone, which I put down to the battery dying. If you have another battery, I'd suggest trying that, but I doubt you do. :|

I solved it. It turned out that one of the ribbon cables that connect the quick play buttons to the motherboard wasn't properly seated. Reseated the cable and all is well now. Hope this helps someone else.
