Default Re: How would my PC do with vista?

I probably won't need my XP key anyways, I've got a couple other copies of XP I can use if I need them.

If I ever need to format the hard drive does that mean I can't install vista again by installing XP and then putting vista over it? by that I mean this:
*reformatting the drive
*intall XP without activating
*install vista over the XP and activate the vista copy

This is a much better test for hardware Vista readiness.............gives you 3 user levels. Basic user, mainstream user, and enthusiast. It then gives you suggested hardware upgrades, if needed for each category.
