Default how is this upgrade?

if i went from:

m2n-sli deluxe mobo
amd X2 3800+
80gb and 250gb harddrive (80 for XP and programs, 250 for music, videos, etc.)
2gb corsair ddr2 800
500w psu

and upgraded the X2 3800+ to X2 5200+, and the 80gb to a 36.7gb raptor 10,000RPM

would that be like major improvement, or would i even notice for close to $400

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (AM2)---ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (Skt. AM2)---Corsair XMS - DDR2 2GB (5-5-5-15)
HDD's: 80GB & 250GB---GPU: BFG Geforce 7300GS (No Gaming)

Looks like a worthy upgrade to me. I certainly hope you do see a performance change. I'm pretty sure you will.

*Fact: Microsoft Window's Blue Screen of Death vs Computerforums.org's White Screen of Death. Which is worse?
