Unhappy how to retrieve a deleted folder?

I accidentally deleted a folder full of baby pictures from My Document on my Dell Laptop. I thought it'd be in the Recycle Bin but it's not there. Is it possible that it's permanently deleted from my laptop for some reasons? (My laptop runs on Windows XP and the hard drive is about 60 GB).

I hope I've given enough info. Your help is much appreciated.

It's still on there, but Windows has no means of retrieving it. Try this software:

Thanks for the help. I tried using the file retriever and another program to scan for the deleted .jpg files. I only managed to get 1 picture back (out of maybe 100). I'm not sure what happened to the rest. Anything else I could try?

YOu can always take your hard drive to a shop to see if their professionals can retrieve your missing files. They'll probably use some software too to retreive it.
