Default Re: how reliable are toshiba laptops?

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite A215 and it's been running beautifully for over 5 years. In fact, I took it even further and installed Ubuntu 9.10 side by side with Windows Vista Ultimate. Let the record show that Toshiba laptops work very well with Linux, Ubuntu in particular. I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a Toshiba NB205 netbook. It's an absolute doll. HOWEVER, I will say this. Toshiba does great in a lot of areas EXCEPT...hard drives. I've had a few of them go bad on me and now I use them as storage drives since windows refuses to install on them.
