Yeah...just type

"Overclock ATI 9800 Pro" susitute you video card in place of ATI 9800 Pro.

There are a few ways to overclock a video card.

1. software
2. flash bios
3. hardware manipulation

I list them by risk 1 being not so risky to 3 being risky. Risky is that if it does work or done incorrectly it could perminately destroy your card.

My old card was a 9500Pro and I flash bios the sucker and got a noticeable improvement. Much more then just software overclocked.

I currently am not overclocking my 9800 Pro, to me that is just a risk I am not willing to take.

try searching the internet for overclocking software for your vid card. Not all cards can be overclocked.

I don't know why people overclock anyway - to me it just sounds like a bad idea and a good way to stretch the lifespan of whatever hardware you're trying to overclock. If you ask me - don't do it.

Sure go ahead you seem to be willing to take the risk (dont ask me about the outcome lol),

but what is your video card and how much did you pay for it? you may want to take those into consideration before you destroy it :/

I am intrigued into the world of overclocking but i dont have the A: need B: money to try overclocking, maybe my processor just a bit...

:P

well would you guys explain to me how overclocking would destroy it.

if you do it properly u can still destroy it?

if i put in better cooling in my computer, won't that compensate for the overclocking?

ur input is appreciated.

input like, " what a stupid idea" is not appreciated.

and tell me the effectiveness of each.

Good Luck then, see you when you have video card problems.

p.s.Yes it can be done, but i won't tell you how.
If you won't tell us why !
