becuase i have a dell computer i dont think that its possible to over clock my processer, but if it possible someone plese tell me how to do it because everest home edition says that i can. so....im a little confused. thanks.

Um... in everest, it's just the memory that you overclock. Just benchmark's... Anyways, unless you have a nice cooling system in that comp, I would highly not recommend you do that. If you truly want to, go into BIOS and just adjust the clock settings from there. If dell has locked the bios, I think you would have to flash it. I'm not too sure. But if they have it permanently locked, you're screwed. No other way. There might be some software, but I doubt it can be very effective...

well what do you mean when its locked? because i can get into my bios no problem. and i do have a very good cooling system. its standard on the dimentions 9100's but still its nice, but if i can Oc my p.4 i should be able to oc my fan right? ok and if its locked to where i cant change processing speed how do i flash my bios?

Well, dell's don't really come with nice cooling systems... I bet it's the OEM fan for dell, another one of those propeitary ones. I don't exactly know. But anyways, oc'ing your fan is totally different. You don't "oc" a fan. you just raise the fan speed. You can only do that one of these: http://www.frozencpu.com/bus-27.html?id=XRkALgt6
so yeah. You'd need one of those. Well, of course you can get into your bios. It's the adjustment of the cpu speed that's locked. I could explain how to flash your bios, but they do a good job here:

Yeah, hope this helps...

oh ya, thanks. wow my computer just made a really odd buzzing sound for like 5-6 seconds, but anyway thanks.

Now now...let's behave and not call each other names...

Dell sucks. If you seriously want to overclock, save some money and get a good computer. Becides, Dell locks the BIOS on all their computers with the possible exception of the XPS ones. It's impossible to bypass it...so unfortunately, you're stuck with your video card if you wanna overclock.
