I'm still torn on whether or not to even post this... Why? Well because of the epic fail that just happened.

I fried my motherboard... but how?

Well, I finally got my old video card back in the main rig and was installing the drivers for it when I decided to take my 1TB WD External back downstairs from my room to my office. I hooked it up to the computer THEN plugged it in to the wall and the computer instantly died.... I know better too that's the sad part. Now nothing happens when pressing the power button at all. No lights, no fans, no dice.

Moral of the story? You hear it can happen but think it never will because, seriously, what are the odds? Well, now you know it does happen.

Plugging into the wall first, establishing power to the device first, is the way to go.
