4GB HDD (going to AT LEAST 20 gigs SOON!!!!)
Onbard audio and sound
8X CD-R/RW drive
8X DVD Drive
10/100 Ethernet (to LAN and then to WAN)
Manufactured in 1999
Windows XP Pro SP2

THE LAPTOP

150 MhZ w/ MMX
48 MB Ram
2 GB HD
33.6 modem
No ideal when this thing was made....I'm guessing 1995-1997
Windows ME (soon to be Linux or NT 4....I hope)


Pretty sad huh? BUT Win XP runs perfectley on the desktop, and ME runs great on the laptop (except for movi maker...lol)

My computer is a ...

2.6 Ghz Pentium 4
Windows XP Pro SP2 and can dual boot with Fedora Core 4
512 Mb of RAM
40 Gb Hard Drive

I bought it around a year ago, making it nearly a year old or so going onto two ... i desperately need a new one !

This was top of the line back then in the late 90's. Now it's useless.

Well I have 3 computers sort of, but only 1 is up.

One that doesn't work, which was a:

233mhz Pentium 2,
128mb RAM
Some 2D video card,
3gig hard drive

We got given that free, and stopped working after a few turn ons.

The second PC, the one I had setup before this one:

Gigabyte GA-7DX motherboard,
1.2Ghz Amd Athlon Thunderbird,
512mb SD-RAM,
Geforce 2 MX400,
Onboard sound (Used to have the Creative Sound Blaster Live, which went to my new one),
40gig Hard drive.

The one I have now is starting to show its age, now dual cores, etc are appearing and PCI-E:

ABIT-AV8 motherboard with UGURU,
3500+ Athlon 64 Winchester,
1gig DDR- dual channel RAM,
ATI Radeon 9800PRO (want to change),
Sound Blaster Live,
120Gig hard drive split into 4 partitions.

Not bad really.

700mhz duron, 128 sdram, radeon 7000 7 gig hd 13 inch monitor One i have currently. Getting a new one, official date keeps getting switched, but was thankfully finalized today. Getting it tomarrow!

Hehe, lhuser, the 1.2ghz one works That just needs a new hard drive though as its a bit conky...

The 233mhz is the one that doesn;t work. I think the motherboards dead as it doesn't power up for more than a millisecond, where the fan just spins and stops straight away. Like its had a surge of power and not received anymore... and I've tried changing the power supply, and messing with the motherboard cables, etc.

ok right now since my copmuter isnt running im on a old compaq the specs are as follows:

Some old celeron processor(Windows dosent tell the speed)
319 Mb PC100 memory
11.2 GB hard drive
CD burner
Windows ME

I hate this thing so much, it takes me about 5 mins to load CF and I dont even dare to listen to music and be on the internet at the same time.

Probably misread the 1.2GHZ one...as usual

for the 233MHz...Have you tried reseating the CPU?
