y dose there have to be so many screws on a laptop?

In an apple iBook, over 50. Just to get to the hard drive. I'd guess about 200 in the whole thing.

Its more of a pain in the *** fourms.because everyone knows that the is a lot of useless screws in a latop.

There's about 30 in my dell...it's actually pretty easy to work on.

I'm about to pull a CompaQ open to check the backlinght plugs, and to replace if necessary, but what they give you is pretty much what's needed, as it makes it more tight and avoids shorts. Dells...meh, they always seem to break, no matter what they put in to "secure" it.
