Default How many graphics cards can i fit?

In the 2010 alienware aurora? It came with 2 X nvidia GTX 260's. When i read on the nvidia site, it says that the GTX 260 can support up to 3 X SLI. Would i be able to get another GTX 260 for my alienware? Or would it not fit?
Also, would i be able to mix and match graphics cards? (ex. Take out one of the 260's and replace it with a 295) Or with SLI, they have to be the same card.

You can have 3 single NV cards in SLI, 2 dual GPU NV cards in SLI

If you have a crossfire board, 3x crossfire, 4x crossfire IF you have four PCI express x16 slots

Or you can do two x2 cards or two 5970s (which is an x2 card)

Why do you need so much power?!

Single GPU nvidia card and dual gpu nvidia card. lol NV is an abbreviation.

DO NOT buy GTX 260s and SLI for upgradeability. You will want DX11, so HD 5xxx is your best bet. I suggest a single HD 5850.

Single GPU. AFAIK, the only dual GPU nvidia cards are the ROG MARS, the GTX 295, the 9800 GX2, and the 7950 GX2.

Yes, but they go in PCI express slots not PCI.

You will also need a 3-way SLI bridge.

Simply put, if the motherboard in the Alienware Aurora has three PCIe slots, you can run three Nvidia GTX 260's in 3-way SLI.
