How good is this video card nowadays?

why not save up for something better? anything u get that costs $75 or less is pretty much useless nowadays except for surfing the net...

Avoid that 6200, it performs horrible, even in source games.

if you want to play the source games with decent framerate-quality ratio, I hight suggust this GeForce 4 Ti4200:

I have one of those, and source games run perfectly fine at 1024x768 with settings at medium (I think high would work good too, but my system only has 512 megs of memory, so yeah..)

That is the best card you can get for under $50.

As for those 9800SE cards, the biggest difference i see is the prices due to some being used.

You'd be suprised how far a $50 video card can get you. My older $60 valued FX5500 gets eaten alive by that Ti4200. and it's cheaper. You just need to know where to look..

Theres really no point in buying say a... 7800GT when you hardly even play games much at all.

Just get that geforce4 ti, it's old, but it packs a wallop for it's age.

Cool, thanks.

I can't really make up my mind... It's down to the GeForce 4 Ti4200 128mb ($48 http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=TI4200-128-TD&cat=VCD), Evga 6200 256mb ($60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130278), or an ATI Radeon 9800SE 256mb ($68 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102670R). Which would give me the best overall performance? The 6200 seems to get the highest 3DMark scores based on what I saw on Futuremark.com.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
