You'll probably need another graphics card and monitor to get that sort of resolution.

Im not after that 3072 x 768 resolution for my monitors, something with projection. I just need to be able to go into the screen settings and have the ability to move the little pointer untill it shows me 3072 x 768.

Yes some projectors will be hooked up to the pc, but i need to be able to change the settings to say 3072 x 768.

Do i achieve this by something to do with a graphics card or??

That's an insanely high resolution. You'll need a very good card AND monitor. Or, monitor(s).
