Default how to encrypt folders

i want to develop a software
which will use large
no. of standard data files
is it possible to create a directory structure
for these files in encripted format such that the
derectory structure is accesible only from my software
after supplying a passward which will be embedded in the software
unknown to the user.

yes, that would be possible with programming, but you need some talent. What launguages do you know?
