Default How do I use this BIOS update

I downloded two updates for my BIOS from ASUsTek and have no clue what to do with them now.

The two files are:
1014ds.003 and bwds1013.awd

Neither of the file types are known to windows and cant be found on the internet.

Can someone help to understand how to use these files to update the BIOS?

neither of those files are bios files anyway.

Why are you flashing your bios? (unless you have a problem or the new bios offers more functionality there is no reason to flash, also be aware that if a flash goes wrong it can bork your board)

What are you using to flash your bios?

What m/board is yours?

That all looks very confusing lol

I usually use the Asus Update that comes on the m/board disk from within Windows, never had a problem yet.
