Default how do i transfer stuff from old HD to new HD?

Im seriously considering getting the new 600gb WD velociraptor sataIII HD. but is there a way to just take everything from my old drive and throw it on this one for a seamless transition? or do i need to install EVERYTHING over again.

Put both drives in one computer
Go to first drive, double click in windows explorer
Ctrl+A
Ctrl+C
open up second drive
Ctrl+V
??????
Profit.

As long as the hardware is the same (other then the HDD of course) it should work seamlessly. Not so sure about Windows though.

If you want to copy the entire contents of the drive, including the operating system, you will need this: Acronis True Image WD Edition Software
