Default How do I hook up an external HDTV to use as a dual monitor for my netbook?

Is my request possible? I've seen laptops hooked up to a "strip" of some sort where the user plugged in a laptop for office use with an additional monitor, and then unplugged the laptop to take it home.
I love the portability of my 10" netbook, however, when making powerpoints it would be nice to be able to use a larger monitor as well.

If it has a white or blue connector coming out run the cable oriented for it to the monitor. On the netbook it will depend on the Os. For windows 7, just right click, then go to screen resolution. Select which monitor as a main, and change resolutions around etc. For xp, you'll probably need a third party driver etc.

Okay, so after weeks of trying to figure this out on my own finally posting the question, then moments later, as usual, the answer is found on this website by microsoft
