ok so i built my computer back in december, and cant remember what kind of processor i put in it... i remember it was an AMD 64 (but i dont remember if it was a 3800+) or what... how can i find out?

oh and will this fan work?

It should come up in the System Dialog from Control Panel :P But dxdiag would probably be more thorough if its not there.

or download Everest. THat's my solution to everything if you need to find out some key info regarding your PC. But yeah, that Proerties windwod from My Computer is the easiest way as Dev0115 mentioned.

Everest will definitely tell you, but just go to dxdiag to avoid all of that. I'm surprised you wouldn't know how to tell.
