Default How to check my Video Card Temp. and Processor temp from the desktop?

ok guys i have my new build

pent d 930 3.0ghz 4mb l2cache
512x2 ddr400 dual channel
intel d865gsa mobo
7600gs 256mb 128 bit agp 8x

ne ways it was kind of overheating for a while but now it is doing fine because i installed a 80mm case fan that just takes all the hot air out of the case and now i can play bf2 for how ever logn i want and it stays at constant 60 fps (normally it would shoot down to from 100 in plane to 20 then back to 100 because it was starting to over heat int here)....so yeh i know how to check the video card temp...but now i cant get back to it...its the newest nvidia drivers so plz help ..its on windows 2000 right now so it shoud be teh same way as xp

also is there ne programs that show me my cpu temp just on the desktop that i can check whenever i want?...thx! (i always see it when you guys overclock and stuff and its just in a window...thx guys)

plz help!

You're using the latest Forceware drivers?
Open the nVidia Control Panel (in Control Panel, or you can right-click the nVidia taskbar icon and select it), and click 3D settings. Then click Monitor Temperature Levels.

thank you man..and i cant get back to that control panel thing...like it doesnt start up in the bottom left tray ne more..is there ne other way to get to it? thx!

Go to Control Panel, there should be an nVidia Control Panel Icon (make sure you're in the classic view with the icons).

If that doesn't work, then it sounds like your drivers may be corrupted or something, try reinstalling them:
