Default How can I tell how many rails my motherboard supports

Which voltage rails are you talking about? Just 12 volt rails? Not sure but I think more information about what your comp is going to be is needed.

Yeah I know its from another forum but its a damn good post on the differences between Single and Multi-rail and the pros and cons to each.

Nice motherboard.

You can use multi rail or single rail PSU's. It's down to personal preference although some may steer you to a single rail PSU.

I just had a revelation while reading this article, I was under the impression that rails were an external wire or something, is it actually something inside the PSU?

Yea.

Some PSU's utilise multiple 12V rails and others just have one huge 12V rail.
