If AVG is running on my computer? When I try to delete it under add/remove, it will not allow me to do so. Also, I have tried to delete through the c drive, still will not allow me, says it may be running. Thanks.

normally, avg leaves an icon next to the clock when its enabled. do you see this icon there?

if you see the icon, try right clicking it and disable it. most anti-viruses have this feture. Last time i checked, AVG did, but if you have a new version, it may have changed.

You could also go to your processes and see if it is running. Most AVG processes start with "avg" or "av," so they will be easy to find.

Just press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. In the Task Manager window that pops up, click on the Precesses tab.

These are the processes you are looking for:
avgamsvr.exe
avgcc.exe
avgemc.exe
avgupsvc.exe

To turn them off, click on one and then click the End Process button.
