Is there anywhere to download the Half Life 2 demo without all that Steam crap?

There are only 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who can read binary, and those who can't.

And what about those people who wanna play Half-Life 2 but don't have Internet Connection? What about them? or if u have 2 computers and u wanna have HL2 on both of them? what about it? I don't like Steam 'cause of that....... AND I have the original Half Life CD & Serial Code and when I tried to install CS1.6 it gave me a message saying that that serial num was already registered while I had never registered before!!!! :S
