Yeah those 17" Crts suck, can only do 60Hz at 1280x1024.. my 19" can run 1280x1024 @ 85Hz

You should be able to do 1280x960 at 70Hz..

If you want to look for your self here is a screen shot at 1600x



Idk if you can tell, but the screen gets more tall than wide!

If you have a big enough monitor, raising the resolution decreases the need for Anti-Aliasing. For some games, running at 1680x1050 usually makes the "jaggies" hard to see, so it's not a big deal.

I use 1280x1024, and dependant on what im doing, I like to change it round from time to time. I use it at 75Hz, and find it nice enough.
