when i have start my computer and i saw in the task manager as the system idle process is high on cpu at 99!!! as use the cpu usage for 100%

how can i low it down??

eh, this happenes to my computer sometimes, ever since I got my new 250gb seagate hard drive (7200 rpm)
The only thing I can do is restart my computer.. or wait, although I do think its time to upgrade my brothers (now mine) 5 year old 1.3 cpu

37gb hard spac
517mb ram as i have 256mb before and brought another 256mb from ebay...

Is this while the PC is idle? If so, then it's supposed to do that. The system idle process just runs when there's nothing else to do. Sort of like twiddling your thumbs.

ah,

and so, here is the biggest misinterpretation with the system idle process

if you open your task manager while the CPU is hardly working, and look to processes, you will notice that your system idle process is taking 90% or such of the CPU time.
