hi i wanna make an upgrade of my video card but i dont know nothing about it. my video card is this one.

Video & Graphics
Intel® Integrated Graphics
64MB max. Dynamically Shared

i would like to buy this one:
Verto GeForce 6800 GT Video but maybe doesnt work pls any help would be appreciate it.Pls Advise me

You have to have whats called an AGP slot in your motherboard.

It is larger than an Pci Slot. If you want more look on google for what it looks like.

Could do with your full machine specs. It's no good putting a Ferrari engine in a Ford escort.

Operating System
Microsoft Window XP
Home Edition

Processor
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2,80E GHz
With Intel Hyper-Threading Technology

Standard RAM
512MB PC-3200 400MHz DDR
(Expandable to 2.0 GB)

Hard Drive
160GB 7200rpm ATA-100

Video & Graphics
Intel Integrated Graphics
64MB max Dynamically Shared
Graphics Memory

As long as your motherboard has an AGP slot (should have), Then a 6800GT is a very good choice (I would say that).

Don't know about the Verto, But mine is stable at over 400/1.1Ghz

I have asked this before at several forums and hope for a sainer reply here.
First you have to decide that the current internal doesn't match your requirements like Doom 3 maybe.
Then decide what you can afford and if your mbd has an AGP slot.
Big ? is
Do you just unplug the internal connection to the monitor
And plug it into the agp card ?

when you buy the card just see if the seller can tell you if its compatable with your mo.
Or that you can return it!

Maybe what else you could do is to look at the motherboard, and see the name and number (ASUS P4R800-VM) and go to there web site.

be careful when you look, because it could only support AGP-4x, you need 8x.

So your advice is to stand pat unless you can have and can use AGP-8x.
Is there 1 game out there useing it and will Ronny use or need 8x ?
Ron your big problem will be going from internal to external. You'll need your mbd manual or a dealers help.
It's a good move though.

You could download sisandra, this can give you a system summary with the details of your motherboard. Post the results and ill find out what it can support.
