Default Hey Guys Im New To This Stuff

anways,Hey Guys Im New To This Stuff. my friend showed me this computer that he wanted and i just got like addicted..seeing how the computer im on sux ballz nowadays i decided that i was going to save up for a new computer. so my friend told me what was some good stuff. so we built a computer on www.ibuypower.com (specail C) and heres the stuff he told me to put in it.

Is this good?? i dont know anything about building computers. i thought RC was an expensive hobby till my bud got me onto these things. btw i plan on playing games. so i want a computer that will just be plain sick! im 15, ill have about 600$ by my birthday, which is like in 2 weeks, and im going to apply at a bunch of places tomorow so hopefully ill get a job. i have plenty of patience. i really want this rig.

Very nice comp. I would just get a dual core over the single core just because of the upgradaility and mulitasking. But you can still keep that cpu... it's good enough. Look's good.

Very nice. But maybe u should think about getting a bigger hdd, 160GB can easily be filled with stuff.

You kidding?! That drive is huge! At least for me. I guess it just depends on what kind of stuff you save.

um, dual what now? heh.. ill check if its in the uh selections thing on ibuypower..

So im guessing this is a pretty good "recent" computer? how much arse will it kick over my dads companies computer...-----> Amd xp 1800+ processor 1.5ghz and 384 ram?


will i be able to play like the most recent games like F.E.A.R on the rig i wanna buy?

With that 7800 man you can run that on the highest graphics possible.

I can fill 160GB anytime I want to

Now I have only like 70GB used since I just deleted about 20GB of stuff.
160GB is fine, but if u do alot of downloading u will fill it up, though u can always delete stuff that u don't need.

I have filled my 130GB many times.

lol. 160 gigs is plenty for me. ive got a 60 gig hd on this computer right now and i still got 18 gigs left...and this comp is like 5 years old.. i think ill be ok. todays the big day. were going to go apply at places. hope we get hired. if we do this comp is gunna be getting closer and closer to us every week =)

haha, it will kick that computers arse all over town, all day long. it doesn't have a chance...lol
chew it up and spit it out, then beat it some more.

Those drives aren't so great. 2mb cache is measly compared to today's norm of 8mb, or Maxtor's awesome 16mb cache.
