Default Help: Windows 2000 Format Disc Not Working

When i tried to install the windows 2000 cd, for some reason after i hit ENTER to start installation, it says on the bottom fo the screen "Please Wait" and then 10 mins later nothing happens, what might seem to be the problem? Anyone know? To me this is a mysterym, if you can help me solve this one itl be great of you. thanks !

Are you sure the CD works?

yes i am surei t works, i used it for my other pc and it worked 100% perfectly.

You drive my be screwed up. Did it ever have problems reading other cd's before?

It works, it read the 2000- CD and i switched the drives and the same thing happened.

Hmmm... do you have an XP Disc to Format it? Maybe the Partition is bad. Then you could format it, then wipe it again and format with 2000.
