Default Help with video card please!

I have a HP pavilion 762n with 1 gig ram. My old video card went out, it was a ATI radeon 9500 pro 128mb. Im looking for a new card under $100..i just have no clue what im looking for and what will work with my computer without having to replace the power supply. Any help would be great, even what type of card i need to replace with.

You computer has an AGP slot for a video card. This will work well in your system: SAPPHIRE Radeon X1650PRO 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X. It's compatible with the amount of power available from your current power supply and also give you a bit more performance than your old 9500 PRO.

Yup, it's AGP: HP Pavilion 762n Desktop PC - Product Specifications

There are performance differences, as well as physical differences. This will show you what each slot looks like:

Here's a good link for ya: What’s the Difference Between PCI, AGP and PCI-Express?

Ok sounds good. Thanks for all the help!

Edit: Actually my old card was a 9800 Pro 128mb, would that card you listed still be a decent upgrade?

Yes, it's still better than a 9800 Pro.
