Default Help transferring my sff to a bigger case

Hi-

I have a Dell Optiplex GX280 SFF. I want to transfer it to a bigger case. Its micro-atx, I was wondering if I could use an atx case and psu for it. Most of the micro atx cases on Newegg are tiny and have 1/2 hd slots and have sff expansion slots, which is a lot smaller than I need. So I would just like to know if I can put it in an atx case, and if so, any recomendations?

Most ATX cases have mounts for micro-ATX boards.

There are plenty of other cases out there, I just have a bias towards Lian-Li. How much do you have to spend?

Yup, most any ATX case will accept micro ATX boards. I'm partial to Cooler Master cases myself. This would be a nice one: COOLER MASTER Elite RC-310-BWN1-GP

Want something with a little more "pizazz": NZXT Apollo

I have ~100 bucks for a case and psu, my dell has a crappy little proprietary one.

Best bang for your buck PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ400MXSP 400W - $49.99

For a bit more, this will be a good choice if looking to upgrade your graphics card in the near future: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W - $59.99

If that's the case, I'd go with the CM Elite and one of the PSU's that Atomic Rooster posted.

Thanks for the help! The cm elite and thermaltake psu fit nicely with my budget. I'll be ordering shortly.

You've been watching this really closely, I only had that up for a second before I edited it out for AR's PSU lol.
