Default Help starting to buy and sell computers....

I am a total noob when it comes to building computer. When it comes to software and working with computers, im pretty good, but building them.... ive never tried before so i hope it all goes well for me.

I will first explain the situation to you guys.

Englands economy sucks at the moment, and i want to start building computers to sell them in the local area as well as Ebay. I am a little stuck with being able to find a website that i can buy computer parts from so that i am able to build them, and also make a profit. I know in this day and age, making a profit is hard, but i really want to do it, computers are the one thing i can actually get along with in life, so i really want to make a shot at buliding and selling them.

I wish we had a new egg in England lol. I am totally stuck for sites, i know any of you who actually do this, may want to keep your sites discreet, but trust me, i will not give anything away if i get given a site that you want to remain hidden, so PM me if it is like that, otherwise make a post below.

I did find one potenital site that i may be able to use, and i tried to make a computer from total noob knowlage

Here it is:

Video Card

MotherBoard + CPU

RAM

Hard Disk Drive

Case + Power Supply

DVDRW

Can you tell me if the above items are woth it, as well as importing them to England. Is it all good enough and is the power supply big enough, can you reccoment anything different, is there a better and cheaper reliable site?

Please tell me anything you can, feel free to PM me, thank you all so much for reading.

I dont think NewEgg ships to England, which really sucks because i love new egg.

What do you think though, is there any other info that you can give, or a better site than what i am going to that does deliver to England, or is based in England.

Thank you

yeah, I think sometimes people don't read the whole post and just start clicking on the links...

you missed a great bundle from TigerDirect a month or so ago, and it was more than the bundle you linked, but included more components, so you might want to wait until another one like that comes around, that was almost a complete system for $399, in life timing is everything and you know what they say, good things come to those who wait...

Yeah, I thought about it too. Big computer companies get alot of parts for like 20$ cheaper, it adds up with like 10 parts.. They sell them for to cheap And they include the monitor.

You just have to hope most people already have an LCD monitor.

It didn't occur to me that newegg did not ship to England. I myself have thought about this idea about building and selling computers. But store prices on computers are hard to match as they do throw in the monitor as well. Even at that, you still have to make a profit somehow.

I was going to do this a while ago but quickly realised that you have to buy parts in bulk to get them cheap, like the big companies do. Otherwise you won't make much at all.

Even if you make specialist systems they have to be unique and some thing that the masses want.

The only computers I have sold recently are systems that I made out of spare parts.

hell, I'll take a custom built computer out of spare parts over a Dell, Compaq, etc., anyday...

...

but yeah, it's hard to make $$ doing this, even for guys (and gals) that are light years ahead of the original poster in building and setting up systems, a noob is more times than not just setting himself/herself up for failure...

sad but true...
