Download CWShredder, HijackThis, CCleaner and the trial versions of CounterSpy and SpySweeper. Update them all, boot into Safe Mode and then run FULL system scans with all of them.

If you don't know what to delete in the HijackThis results list, then post a log, maybe some of us can help you.

You might also wanna try out the Opera browser. It's a smaller browser than Firefox, but it might seem faster to you and although the free version has an ad banner at the top, there's a ton of features in it and a unique style that may or may not be to your tastes.

get crap cleaner, then trojan hunter, then ad aware (dunno if u said u tryed this) then maybe kaspersky or AVG
