but the graphics card is inbuilt, so i only get 256 ram...

so i thought id get some new ram to boost the number back up... i asked a computer whizz, and he said it depends on what computer, and left... so i ask... will this ram work in the above computer:

thanks

he came back, and he says it works, can i just check with you guys though? just to be sure :)

The RAM module is DDR2. The computer supports DDR2, yeah it should work. Wait for someone else to post too to make sure ;)

Yes it will work, but you dont know the speed, so one might be faster then the other. But no worries, one of the sticks will just downclock. But the best thing is get the computer, run cpuz, find out the exact speed ( pc3200thats mine, but thats what you're looking for) and then buy the stick.

alright thatnks guys, ill get the comp, and do what you said dev... should i just type in 'cpuz' in the 'run' application yeah?

edit: just tried it on this comp, says it cant find it, so i dunno... sorry im stoopid :)

No its a program, that gives you all the specs of your computer. Google cpuz, and you will find it..

Yeah, running CPU-Z would be good for speed checks, altough they don't matter as much it could mean a slight performance upgrade if one does not have to downclock altough in my system one does have to downclock to the other unfortunately mine was cheap but anyway:
