Hi again!

I went to best buy earlier today and asked for Windows Vista Home, the 32-bit, the basic one... and the dude told me it was $200 because it was for a new computer. Now, I've seen Windows Vistas at NewEgg for $99, I don't know what the difference is. Someone told me the ones with OEM at the end are cheaper because they don't include the fancy packaging which is not really needed.

Can someone please show me a NewEgg link to a cheap Windows Vista 32-bit (there's a few of them and I can't tell the difference) that I can use on the computer that I will be building once I receive my parts, Thanks again.

So that's what I need for a brand new computer which I bought all the parts for? Thanks =)

Now, for personal knowledge, what is the difference between the other Windows Vistas prices also at $99? And, what is the difference between an OS for a brand new computer and a computer already with an OS? (from what the dude at Best Buy said to me, I'm thinking there is one)

The first link I gave you is for Vista Home Basic

The $99 is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116202 Which is Vista Home Premium.

The guy at Best Buy was more than likely referring you to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116469 Which is the same thing, just Retail. Which the only difference is that you can uninstall the OS and put it on another machine if you wanted to, and if comes with the fancy packaging. With the OEM you can still uninstall and reinstall, but only on the same machine.
