You do not need a 790fx board for a single hd 4850. Get something 790X. Also, 8GB RAM is useless to most people right now. Get 4GB and upgrade in the future if you need it. One more thing worth considering is buying a 955 and overclocking it by 200 mhz so you basically have a 965.

Take all the money you saved, and use it to buy a hd 5850 instead of the 4850. Get the his, asus, or visiontek model and flash to asus 5870 bios for even more performance.

if your not confortable flashing bios or have any aprehensions about it at all. have someone else do it for you as this can be potentially lethal to a motherbaord if the update buggers up.

This is a vBIOS flash. The worst you can do is brick the card, in which case you throw a second card in and use it to reflash to the original BIOS.
