Help No Sound From Pc

Hi
Im a noob and need help as randomly about a week ago i had no sound from my computer.The speakers and sound card seem fine but still no sound. I am not able to adjust the volume and when I try it says "windows cannot execute sndvolume32.exe."
CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Did you try reinstalling your sound card drivers? I am thinking that will rewrite your sndvolume32.exe file, but if it doesn't and you keep getting that error, try repairing your OS installation using the installation media. sndvolume32 is the program that loads in your taskbar for you to control the volume, and if that doesn't work, the sound doesn't work. Let me know if reinstalling the drivers works.
 
Are you using onboard sound or not? Have you tried restarting the computer?

Is that the EXACT error message, with no typo's? Because google doesn't show up anything for it which is really odd...

Also, are you sure the error message isn't "Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe" because that actually brings up results...

Here's how to fix it:

1. Do a search for ALL FILES AND FOLDERS -- sndvol32.exe
2. You should get two results:
C:\Windows\System32\sndvol32.exe
C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\sndvol32.exe
