Default help needed with explorer.exe error

hi

i have recently been getting an explorer.exe error come up when i delete files (usually mpgs and avi files) from my downloads folder.

the error is as follows:
C:\DOCUME~1\matt\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3.tmp.dir00\appc ompat.txt

this error causes the desktop to disappear and then re-appear a few seconds later.

i am running winxp pro w/sp1.

anyone have any ideas how i can cure this problem as i have been looking for solutions on the net without any success.

thanx

Paste txt here. This is your computer and deleting this kind of file should not have these results.Change your downloads folder to something more simple like
"C:/My Downloads,"
And by the way don't you see the Dos errors ? ~

also i can't actually locate the appcompat.txt file as when i go to the temp folder it is empty.

if there is a way to get a more accurate description of the error - please could you let me know.

cheers
