Default Help me decide on new hard drive

I haven't been able to decide which hard drive to get... been looking at the WD Raptor 150GB, and from the reviews some people say it's fast, others say it's just about the same as a perpendicular. Anyways, my goal is to partition one of the hard drives to install linux, vista, and solaris on it. Then have the other hard drive only for xp. Also, would any of the raid configs favor in a way here? Plus, one of the hdds would be the one in my sig.

Intel i7 920 | Thermalright 120 eXtreme / Foxconn Bloodrage x58 / OCZ 6GB DDR3 1600 / BFG GTX 260 OCX MaxCore / Xigmatek 750W Modular / Seagate 250GB 7200.10 / Lian Li PC-V1010B / ViewSonic VX2035WM 20"

I'm pretty sure that the Raptor will be faster than a 7200 perpendicular drive. If you can afford it, then go with that.
