help me cure boredom

Hey guys, im writing this sitting in a hospital bed as I found a wirless connection.
This connection is password protected and from the hospital itself, but the only problem that im having right now is that I cant find any servers or I cant connect steam.
Steam always says theres a connection error, and any other games that i play can never establish a connection with their servers.
Any workarounds or ways to make steam work?

They may have certain ports blocked to save on their bandwidth. If that's the case, you're pretty much stuck. You could always ask someone on staff about it.
