Alright long story short, I went in to Frys to buy [1] and was talked into buying [2] because supposedly the overall computer was better and quicker even though a few bucks cheaper. [Note, I haven't opened it up yet]

Right now I'm on this computer, an haven't been too happy with it the last few years. http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-media-center/4505-3118_7-31975716.html

But basically I just want an overall pretty quick computer. Scrolling/opening documents/files/etc I want to be smooth an open up like click click click. I don't know if a computer has anything to do with the internets speed, but I'd obviously like web pages and stuff to open up quickly [I'm on Road Runners Turbo]. And then lastly/most importantly is music production, something that can handle recording/mixing smoothly, the machine I'm on now doesn't really handle it too well, when I mix vocals I get a lot of hold ups and it's not really smooth an quick. As far as gaming goes, I do all that on a PS3, maybe one day I'll get into PC gaming an if I do I'll just make an update on a higher end graphics card then.

So all in all, if the computer I ended up buying will satisfy me in all of my wants, then I won't bother making a refund an looking into something else like building up my own PC, or getting a different model. I'd appreciate the help, thanks.

Well, it was a bit off a ripoff, and a very strange selection of components. But it'll be fine for all you want it for.

EDIT: Like I said, it would be fine for all you want it for. You could return it and build something better for the same price but it depends if you want to go through the hassle or not.
