Default Help installing a program

My dad asked me to check and see what's wrong with this computer. He's wanting to install a program to help teach him how to play a guitar. I tried installing it and I get this error.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

This computer is running XP.

Nevermind, I figured it out and fixed it. I had a feeling that autoexec.nt was corrupted/damaged and turns out it was.
