Default Help with installing linux and windows xp

I have windows XP pro and i want to install linux suse 9.3 as a secondary OS.

I know that you can use partition magic to make a seperate partition and install it there.... but few questions.

How do i make sure its installing on the 2nd partition?
Will i be able to see my files on my first partition from linux?
Whats the program to be able to run windows applications on linux?

Default Re: Help with installing linux and windows xp

The program is called 'WINE'.

All the Linux distros i've tried come with a partition manager that you can use during installation. The one that came with Mandriva re-sized my Windows partitions to make room for Linux. I could get into Windows or Linux very easily in a dual-boot config.

I've never tried SuSE though.
