Default help im also new

If i were to upgrade to a Asrock motherboard N68PV-GS AMD AM2 would a 1gb stick of ram at 144mhz work and with that 256mb 133mhz please help

UM 144mhz ram? SD 100 and SD 133? SD way too old for AM2 must be missing something.

You have to use DDR2 RAM with that motherboard.

The DDR RAM you mention won't work with it.

133mhz isn't even DDR lol, its SD pc 133 or SD pc100 rofl.

run this program, its called CPUZ
and post a screen shot of the CPU, Mainboard, and Memory tabs
you can use sites like photobucket.com to host your screen shots if you need to
that will tell us all what to do
