It's a little hard to follow here...
Basically if you're looking at an i5/i7 based build and pair with 8GB of RAM or more and a high end video card, you'll be fine - that being said, the first video card you linked probably wouldn't cut the mustard very well, but the second one, the 6850 is much closer to ideal. It's still a little low powered for what you want to do - if you can afford a $200 heatsink for the CPU, drop that money into a high end GPU instead - that's where the money will matter, and the stock heatsink that comes with the CPU will suit you fine for now. I'd look at no less than a GeForce GTX 570, and if you can wing it, one of those new Radeon HD 7950 or better cards for the best experience. |
