Cool Help with Drives

I currently don't have a floppy drive in my system. But My Computer shows that a floppy drive is installed, how do I fix this or get rid of it.

Default Re: Help with Drives

You pretty much don't. It recognizes the controller as a device. Look in your BIOS to see if you can disable the floppy controller. Other than that, I can't think of anything. If it's not hurting anything, why the need to remove it?

Well, I spoke too soon. I just found this:

Open regedit and nevigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer

Create a new DWORD value, NoViewOnDrive and set its value 3.

You can also use TweakUI to show which drives are listed.
