Help!! Which CPU would you pick!

I'm trying to decide which CPU i should get to go with this Mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128394

The two cpus are:

AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition

Or

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Quad Core Processor

If you have a reason why you chose one over the other I'd like to know!

We need more information to help you select your processor. What do you plan on doing with your computer?

It will be used for basic computing, internet and email. I'm building it so that it will last with the speed and performance and the possibility of upgrade.

Trying to hit around mid range technology so a few years down the road its not so obsolete, granted we all know how fast technology moves.

Its starting out with a 450 watt PSU, 4 gb OCZ ram, 500gb hdd, and an LG CD/DVD drive.

For basic computing and everyday programs, a dual core will be better. More programs are beginning to be coded to utilize both processors. I highly doubt most everyday programs for the majority of the masses will be coded for a quad core.

Read this line carefully:

The Quad Core will perform better at anything, and will last much longer, and its cheaper.

There's no reason to get the Dual Core over it.
