I got a message set that will tell me if the system temperature goes to 55C or above and one that will tell me if the CPU goes to 50C or above...I hope that will prevent CPU melt or mobo melt.

Actually, my AMD 64's maximum temperature is 70 degrees Celsius according to the model number. All AMD 64's can take up to 65 degrees Celsius but mine happens to take up to 70 degrees Celsius.

I don't think it'd really start to burn at 65 degrees... More like 75, don't you think? Or have you had experience...?

You could always download and use CPUidle & Motherboard monitor together, this should get your temperature down quite a bit.

Mine runs at 32c System and 36c CPU (AMD 64 3200), increases to 42c CPU when gaming.
