getting a casual gaming desktop. Want to keep price under 800 dollars, so I'm going with AMD. My question is if AMD can run Nvidia video cards. Also, are ATI cards worse or better than Nvidia cards. I have heard ATI is worse.

Yes, you can run either ATI or Nvidia cards on motherboards with AMD CPUs and chipsets.
I prefer Nvidia cards, but that's just me. I've never had any problems with them. Depending on the choice of cards you have, one may be better than the other. |

I have an intel system
and my ati card works fine ![]() but yes they work either way
