Default Help with Buying

Hey guys, I am looking on EBay to buy a new custom built desktop computer.

I was wondering if you guys had any insight or any ways you could help me.

I will post some links to some I looked at, I know graphics/video cards, RAM, OS, etc. but I don't know what processors to look for and what not.

And also, where could I find good cheap monitors to go with the tower?

Thanks

I really like the HDD space on some of those (the one with almost 500GB), but I don't know if the video cards are good.

Thanks for any help.

find an AMD processor if you like gaming or a intel for mutlitasking. i go by that even though AMD can multitask and intel can play games very well also. i belive that all those you linked have onboard video except the second one. onboard is fine for typing, music, and internet browsing, but for movies and games and video editing you will want a good card(something you can upgrade without having to scrap your entire rig.) advice you might hear a lot is to never buy a prebuilt computer, to buy the parts and build it yourself. i can either design you one (list the seperate parts) or find you a good value, but first i need to know what you will be using it for, your price range, and do you need a mouse/keyboard?

also, personally i'm reluctant to buy any computer parts off eBay.
EDIT: i'm not as familiar with ATI as i am with NVIDIA but the i looked up the video card in the seond one and it is ok but fast becoming low end.

WOW check out the mark down!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a pretty decent buy. onboard video but has an open PCIe x16 slot for easy upgrade, 512MB RAM can be upgraded also, and comes with decent hdd space.

this one is also good, less storage but leaves you more money to upgrade.

EDIT: sorry for the double post.

Thanks for the help and links. If I decide to build one, I will let you know first, and maybe you can help me more, but don't sweat it, cause you have helped a lot with the information and links you provided...

Thanks a lot man!

oh well, doesn't matter cause the ones i linked are better and for the same money.
just goes to show you that you shouldn't trust eBay, for anything that costs more than $100.
