K i want to biuld a gaming computer with a decent graqphics card and eveything i want to be able to play battlefield two and half life thanks and i mean you can post anything like cases that i will nedd cpu sound motheboard anything becasue i want to get an idea of what i need

Well that's ok. First off your going to want a decent enough graphics card, on your budget i'd suggest a 256mb Geforce 6600GT.
The proccessor, Well an overclocked AMD 64 3000+ will do just fine and it's not too expensive, 'important' make sure you have a good CPU fan/heatsink no matter what.
You'll need some RAM, I'd reccomend 1GB, if you can afford it maybe 1.5GB, Make sure it matches your motherboard, and go for makes such as kingston or Corsair.
I'm no expert on motherboards, just make sure it's not cheap and make sure your RAM is compatible and that the amount of pins on your proccessor 939 or 754 matches the amount on the board, same goes for the power supply which should be around 500w and NOT a cheap one, aim to spend about $40 on it, you won't regret it, thermaltake is a good brand to go for.
Hope this helps for now

Skyhawk 470W PSU- Should be enough to support your system and help keep it cool with dual fans.

Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra Socket 939-I have the same exact motherboard, it should run your system perfectly and effectively for the price, the integrated sound should be able to run your system perfectly.

1GB RAM, enough to play most if not ALL games today and can help your system multitask like hell!

Samsung quiet and reliable, 80gb for decent storage and sata for quicker access than IDE.

You need a heatsink, gfx card, some moer cooling, a case, an optical drive, and keyboard monitor and speakers.

If you can get the rest under 100 bucks then good luck. Not doable

the power supply u mentioned earlier i have a power suply thats 450 is that ok or i need the 470

No, 450 is fine for pretty much everything, unless you go sli. For $500, you should get either an x850 (platinum or regular) or a 6800gt or ultra even if you can. The PS is fine. I have an x800 with a 300PS and it runs fine, even when I overclock it to death... hehe. Or wait... is it $500 for the WHOLE comp or $500 for just the grahics card... ?

Well, he means 500 for the whole machine which is really impossible if it's meant to be a gaming machine in which can play battelfield 2.

Having the power supply will save you 56 bucks. Tell us if you need XP, keyboard, monitor, speakers, or sound card.

I am telling you minimum for a good computer is around 600-700 dollars.

The computer I built about a week ago cost about 700. It can't run that many games as it has a radeon 9600. But it can multitask with a gig of ram and a sata hard drive.
