Hi there, I have just built a new PC, it has 8 Gigabytes of RAM, coming in a 4GB and 2 x 2 GB RAM Modules, running at 669mhz, (even though the 2 x 2 GB Modules are 1333mhz, not sure why that is ).

A quad core CPU, AMD Phenom II X4 840 with the following
Bus Speed 200.9 MHz
Rated Bus Speed 2009.0 MHz
Stock Core Speed 3200 MHz
Stock Bus Speed 200 MHz
This is on a AM3 socket (938) < says that in a spec thing I Have, no idea what 938 is?
I was thinking of buying a bulldozer 8 Core CPU, but I think there for AM3+ sockets, would they still work on mine? And if it did, would i need a better cooling system that my current one?

what kind of motherboard do you have? the fx8150 is a good chip in my opinion. It is recommend to get an aftermarket cooler for the bulldozer because they use up a lot of power.
